And for free templates and tools you can use to put the advice below into practice download this post’s complementary guide here. But before we dive into how to find a job after college, let’s first shed some light on why the job searching process is so difficult for college graduates. Why is it hard to find a job after college? One…

According to Microsoft’s 2022 Annual Work Trend Index Report, 53% of employees are considering transitioning to a hybrid work setup in the next year and hybrid work is up seven points from 2021. So, what does it take to lead a hybrid team? We’ve got a few tips. 1. Set rules of engagement. When everyone’s in the office, many rules and behaviors go unsaid. After all, everyone is in the same space, so it’s easier to pick up on cues. However, when everyone is scattered, it changes how you approach them. Microsoft’s report found that following the pandemic, few companies (only 28%) have met with their teams to define their new normal since switching to a hybrid or remote model. This can lead to confusion, unmet expectations, and high attrition rates. Setting a structure around communication and collaboration allows the team to work more efficiently as it promotes cohesion among…
Add another layer of email protection and build your brand with a new standard known as BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification). The post What Is BIMI? (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) appeared first on SendGrid.
Here’s a look at the most popular email clients of April 2022, plus the shifts that took place with email client market share between March through April 2022. Top email clients Before we get started, there are two things we always like to note: As of fall 2021, the category “Apple” includes Apple iPhone (iOS Mail), Apple Mail (macOS Mail), Apple iPad (iPadOS Mail), and Apple Mail Privacy Protection (Apple privacy-impacted opens). Learn why in this blog post. Apple’s Mail Privacy Protection (MPP) hides device data so we aren’t able to differentiate between iOS, iPadOS, or macOS. Additionally, the new OSes don’t differentiate between MPP and non-MPP in the user agent data it passes. With that being said, the top 3 most popular email clients for April 2022 are Apple, Gmail, and Outlook. Apple: 57.2% Gmail: 29.5% Outlook: 4.2% Yahoo Mail: 3.4% Google Android: 1.9% Outlook.com: 1.0% Samsung Mail: 0.4%…
Dropshipping has become one of the most popular business models in ecommerce and for good reason. It’s a simple idea, which is just one of the reasons why it’s become so popular. Stores simply allow third-parties (dropshippers) to fulfill orders for them. So when a customer orders a product from an ecommerce store or website, that store then orders the product from a dropshipper, who sends the product straight to the customer. Without the need to have a massive inventory on hand, vendors can provide customers with the products they need when they need them. Thanks to low capital investment, brands can also scale much faster, but they’re increasingly reliant on dropshipping suppliers. There are issues though. Brands that use dropshippers lose control over the customer experience, and orders can quickly become disjointed. That’s even more of a risk if you choose the wrong dropshipping supplier. When it comes to…
Let’s talk about domain warming. Specifically, what can happen when domain warming goes wrong (or isn’t considered) — sending too much volume too fast, without enough domain reputation history. This can cause painful inbox woes and it isn’t always easy to know what to do when it happens. Domain warming is also lightly documented compared to IP warming, and if you’re on a shared pool, SMB-focused email service provider platform (think Mailchimp or Constant Contact), you might never have even heard about domain warming before you started sending marketing emails. That’s where Jeff Feiereisen and Brett Skaloud come into the story. They’re two ex-Amazon engineers launching Boona, a Seattle-based company. Their first product, the Tandem Shower, recently launched on Kickstarter and has already raised over $650k. Designed to attach directly to your existing showerhead, the Tandem Shower adds a second showerhead to the other side of your shower such that a…
You’ve got a solid email marketing strategy for your regularly cadenced email and now you’re ready to take the next step to improve your results. It’s time to add email marketing automation. With email automation, you’ll save time by communicating relevant information to subscribers at the right time, based on their actions and interests. You’ll know exactly who to email, what to email them, and when the best time to send that email is. What is email marketing automation? Email marketing automation is an email or a sequence of emails that are sent after a subscriber takes a specific action like signing up to an email list, making a purchase, or clicking a link. For example, when you sign up for Constant Contact, this triggers a welcome email. This email introduces you to our business, asks you to verify your email address, and tells you how to set up your…
Here’s a question that a friend asked me lately: What does the SpamAssassin “HEADER_FROM_DIFFERENT_DOMAIN” rule (“From and EnvelopeFrom 2nd level mail domains are different”) mean?First, we need to understand what they mean by From and Envelope From. In this case, the from address is your visible from address – aka the 5322.From address, and the “EnvelopeFrom” is the 5321.From, aka the return-path or bounce address. The from address you are probably most familiar with. If you’re not familiar with the return path, I’ve blogged about that recently here. What SpamAssassin is warning about here is that these two email address fields have different domain names; they do not match. This lack of domain matching is called a “lack of alignment” and in this instance, the mismatch between these two domains is called a “lack of SPF alignment” — potentially affecting Sender Policy Framework authentication success in the context of DMARC. If your…
In April, BeReal – a social media app that hosts many Gen Z users, saw 315% YoY daily download growth. Meanwhile, another popular Gen Z app called Poparazzi is seeing 96,100 downloads per month (just from the Apple App Store.). And, these apps – which both encourage “authentic” photo-sharing, come a few years after VSCO – another image-sharing app – went viral (particularly among Gen Z demographics). Haven’t heard of any of these apps? Don’t panic. Ultimately, we haven’t written much about them for a reason: Because these apps aim to offer safe spaces for users to share their most authentic selves, we don’t really think there’s a place for brands or marketing on them just yet. So, why are we discussing them now? At this point, we’ve continued to watch as multiple apps that encourage minimal filtering, authenticity, and unedited content go viral with an influx of Gen Z users.…
