Also known as challenge/response, this method requires the sender of an email to complete a task, such as typing a displayed code, to confirm their identity. While this technique helps verify that a sender is a real person, it can create issues such as shifting the burden of filtering onto the sender, generating unnecessary messages, and occasionally causing legitimate emails to be marked as spam.
